Needless to say, there are countless places in our community to see fireworks on the 4th of July, but here are some of the top spots with the best views!
Firework show of the Genessee River- Starting at 10:00 PM on July 4th watch from the Main Street Bridge, Broad Street Bridge, Chestnut Street near the Washington Square Garage, or any streets surrounding that area.
Sodus Point Fireworks Show- Starting at 10:00 PM on July 3rd watch from the water or up in town. Either way, there is really no such thing as a bad view. HINT: Make sure to get there early; the traffic can be crazy.
The Town of Irondequoit 4th Of July Festival- Starting July 3rd, and ending July 4th, come to the Irondequoit Town Hall for some Independence Day fun. This time-honored tradition has something for the whole family!
On The Water
The 4th of July can be a hot one! So why not head down to the bay or lake and be by the water. Here are some great places to visit to have some fun in the sun.
Canandaigua Lake- Spend Independence Day on the lake with a parade, food vendors, and entertainment in Kershaw Park, ending with fireworks in the evening.
Conesus Lake Ring of Fire- Experience something like no other this year! July 3rd, Conesus lights up for a breathtaking tradition called the Ring of Fire, sponsored by the Conesus Lake Association. Road flares light up the lake followed by fireworks. “The festivities typically start at dusk, with approximately 10,000 flares lit by 10:00 PM. Visitors typically watch from Long Point Park on Rt 256 and Long Point Road.”
Honeoye Lake Ring Of Fire– If a smaller lake is more your speed, head over to Honeoye Lake’s ring of fire. There are lots of lights to see in this small lake and it’s absolutely worth the drive.
